Joyce Rawlings, age 89, formerly of Cannon Falls, died on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville.
Joyce Ellen Lundell Rawlings was born on August 31, 1929 in Cannon Falls, the daughter of John F. and Leona F. (Dierke) Lundell. She grew up in Cannon Falls and was both baptized and confirmed at Spring Garden Lutheran Church. Joyce graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1947. As a young woman she worked for the St. Paul Company. On March 11, 1956 she was united in marriage to Neale Rawlings at Spring Garden Lutheran Church. She was active in the church as a Sunday School Teacher. Joyce enjoyed being a homemaker, doing crafts and gardening. She belonged to an extension service and liked the music of Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Scott) Harrold, Neale (Jamie) Rawlings, and Mark Rawlings; four grandchildren; her brother, Mick (Kathy) Lundell; and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neale; brothers, Charlie Lundell and Marlin (Ellie) Lundell; and her niece, Kristie Olson.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 pm on Friday, March 8 at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 9 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10-11 am, at Spring Garden Lutheran Church, 10239 Co. 1 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN. Interment will follow at Spring Garden Cemetery.
