Anthony Alan "Tony" Nobach, age 61 of Cannon Falls, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Tony was born on May 6, 1962, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Edward and Jacqueline (Marvin) Nobach. He graduated from Red Wing High School in 1980.
Tony met his wife, Jude Lorentz, when they were 14 and they married on October 24, 1981 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, Cannon Falls. They made their home in Cannon Falls and raised their four sons together.
He worked as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for Minneapolis ARTCC in Farmington from 1982 until retiring in 2016, where he made many lifelong friends during his career. Following retirement, he continued his lifelong passion of tinkering in the shop and started working for Midwest Machinery, Cannon Falls. He was also employed by the Cannon Falls Fire Department, as part of the charitable gambling department.
Tony's greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family and friends. Of all the things Tony was proud of, being a grandfather was at the top of his list. He loved the loud laughter that always filled the house when the family was together and he took joy in watching them grow up. In his free time, Tony enjoyed caring for the local wildlife at home, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, playing cards, and working in his shop.
Tony was a genuine person who was loved by all who met him. He had an infectious smile and could make anyone laugh with his quick wit and good sense of humor. He will be missed beyond measure.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Trier.
Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Nobach and granddaughter, Pearl Nobach.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 42 years, Jude; sons, Nicholas (Kathryn) and their children, Maecyn, Maddox "Buddy", and Lincoln - Ryan (Jennifer) and their children, Tucker, Daisy, and Clark - Anthony "Joe" (Tessa) and their children, Lucy, June, and Ava - and Christopher (Kate) and their children, Georgia and Dakota; his parents, Edward and Jacqueline Nobach; sisters, Terri Mandelkow, Cheri (Brian) Rumpza, Diane (Larry) Mandelkow, and Patricia (Rod) Petrie; sister-in-law, Caroline Nobach; and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
