Brona Lodermeier

August 13, 1936 — November 3, 2017

Brona L. Lodermeier, age 81, a lifelong resident of Goodhue passed away at home surrounded by family on November 3, 2017.

Brona was born on August 13, 1936 in Red Wing, MN the daughter of Glen and Phyllis (Buck) Bartlett.  She married Jerome Lodermeier on January 3, 1953 at St. Columbkill Catholic Church in Belle Creek.  Along with raising her seven children, she drove school bus for O’Reilly Bus and then became a bookkeeper for her sons’ business, Roy-n-Al’s Auto Service from where she retired. She truly loved being part of this community where she was able to give back in many ways. She loved spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren no matter what celebration or event was occurring.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church as well as the Council of Catholic Women and the St. Columbkill/Holy Trinity Cemetery board. In addition, she was a long time member of the Goodhue Lioness Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jerome on December 22, 1999.

She is survived by her children, Deanna (Larry) Voth of Red Wing, Alan (Maureen) and Leroy (Judy), all of Goodhue, Beth (Ted) Thorson of Dayton, MN, Michael (Dorothy) of Goodhue, Steven (Marla) of Zumbrota, and Susan (Dave) Klicka of Cannon Falls; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 1 step great-grandson; and brother, Lyle (Carolyn) Bartlett of Zumbrota; and loving in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goodhue, MN. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 4-8 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, November 7 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at St. Columbkill/Holy Trinity Cemetery, Belle Creek.

Active pallbearers will be her 8 grandsons, Brian Lodermeier, Christopher Lodermeier, Adam Lodermeier, Colin Lodermeier, Aron Lodermeier, Evan Thorson, Kyle Lodermeier, and Cody Lodermeier. Honorary pallbearers will be her 8 granddaughters, Stefanie Strusz, Megan Beck, Jessica Flotterud, Lindsey Dutchak, Kelsey Van Deusen, Emily Adamsheck, Jenna Gesme, and Anne Lodermeier.
