Carol Jean Nelson

Jan 29, 1941 — Jun 29, 2026

Carol Nelson passed peacefully with family by her side Monday, June 29, 2026. Carol Jean Nelson was born January 29, 1941, to Clarence and Harriet (Stark) Schueler in Winona, MN. Carol had a special place in her heart for her grand and great-grandchildren, but also for her four-legged grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her daughter Cindy Mae Nelson of Cannon Falls; son Wayne (Diane) Nelson of Cannon Falls; granddaughter Vanessa Davis; great-granddaughter Londyn Davis; brothers-in-law Norman (Loretta) Nelson of Durant, OK, Donald (Marta) Nelson of Sioux City, IA; sister-in-law Carol Ann Valentine of Saratoga Springs, UT; along with many nieces, nephews, their families, and the grandchildren who have four legs and a tail.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Lee; her parents and parents-in-law; brother Clarence "Sunny" Schueler; brother/sister-in-law Jerry & Glenda Nelson; and brother-in-law Bob Valentine; sister-in-law Sumiko Schueler; along with many aunts and uncles
