Carolyn M. Lindstrom

Carolyn Marie Lindstrom, age 81, of Red Wing, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Carolyn was born on August 28, 1943, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Menard and Elida (Frigaard) Bergman. She graduated from Evansville High School. On March 31, 1962, Carolyn was married to Donald Alstead. They lived in Alexandria most of their married life. They had three children: David, Michele, and Bryon. Carolyn worked at First Bank and taught piano lessons. She served as a church organist and played for many community events.

Carolyn married Duane Lindstrom on February 14, 1998, and moved to their home in Welch, MN. Together, they loved spending Winters in Apache Junction, AZ.

Survivors include her husband Duane, children David (Stephanie) Alstead, Michelle (George) Nusbaum, and Bryon (Sarah) Alstead; stepchildren Steve (Dawn) Lindstrom and Bonnie (Todd Erickson) McNamara; grandchildren George, Jack, and Brett Nusbaum, Dustin (Megan) Lindstrom, Stephanie (David) Heiden, Courtney (Greg) Hovel, and Sydney (Blake) Johnson; great-grandchildren Cashton, Caleb, Anders, Sam, Wade, and Mabel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, and her grandson Derek McNamara.

Memorials are suggested to Vasa Lutheran Church.

Memorial services will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 am, at the Vasa Lutheran Church, 15235 Norelius Rd, Welch, MN 55089. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
