Chandrawati Jhabo Singh, age 60 of Cannon Falls, died on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026 at 8:52 AM at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester, St. Mary's Campus.
Chandra was born on February 7, 1965 in Cromarty, Guyana, the daughter of Ramjit and Gladys (Ramdeo) Boodhoo. She grew up in a small South American village, and later moved to the United States in 1983 with her parents. She returned to marry her sweetheart, Gomaz "Dexter" Singh on January 25, 1985 in Cromarty.
They moved to the Bronx, New York in 1986, where they were active in the Bronx Full Gospel Tabernacle (TAB). In 1995, they moved to Minnesota, settling in Cannon Falls in 2005. She and her husband pastored the church body together at Cannon Community Church. She was also involved with the ICLC network and Kingdom Warriors Church Online. She also enjoyed working at the Cannon Falls Hospital from 2006-2014.
She loved flower gardening, cooking, socializing with family and friends, and serving her Lord Jesus. She loved the people in her church and her community.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years of marriage, Dexter; her sons, Andrew, Steven, and Samuel; sisters, Stella (Richard) Robert, Elva Harricharan, Baby Harrilall, Kamo (Gope) Beasmoney, Sattie Boodhoo and Shamo (Krishna) Baljit; brother, Jaichand (Tara) Boodhoo; sister-in-law to Dai, Dato, Alice, Sattie, Ina, Stallo "Frederick", Hamlet "Black Boy", and Ivan "Sleep"; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Esta Hector; brother, Alvin Boodhoo (Sattie); parents-in-law, Henry and Ella Jhabo Singh; and sisters-in-law, Sandy "Punsun", Elda and Eno.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6 from 5-7 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 2:00 pm, with visitation from 1-2 pm, at Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. This service will be live-streamed and available to watch below. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
