Dagne Peterson

March 20, 1916 — June 17, 2007

Dagne G. "Peggy" Peterson, age 91 of Cannon Falls, died on Sunday morning, June 17, 2007 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.



Peggy was born on March 20, 1916 near Leads, North Dakota on the family homestead, the daughter of Gustav and Dorthea Pederson.

She graduated from Houston High School in Houston, MN in 1934. She married Marvin E. Peterson on May 19, 1937 in Houston.

She lived in Houston for 12 years, Lewiston for 14 years, Plainview for 2 ?? years, and Cannon Falls for 43 years.



Throughout her life, she was dedicated to her family! She worked at home, taking care of her family's needs. She was an excellent seamstress, and made beautiful clothing for herself and her family. She had also worked part-time at Montgomery Ward in Winona, Camera Arts Studios in Lewiston, and the Ben Franklin Store in Cannon Falls.

Peggy was a member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, where she had been active in WELCA.



Peggy will be fondly remembered for her gentle and loving nature, and her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren always enjoyed the special treats they received from her!



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Marvin Peterson, who died on October 27, 1991; and three siblings, Ann Vetsch, Olga Deters and Arnold Pederson.



She is survived by her son, Gary (Carol) of Burnsville; daughter, Judy Stephan of White Bear Lake; five grandsons, Dr. Kevin Stephan (Deb) of Duluth, Scott Peterson (Helen) of Littleton, CO, Michael Stephan of San Francisco, CA, Brad Peterson of Lakeville, and Patrick Stephan of Minneapolis; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jennifer Peterson of Littleton, CO, Corey and Jeremy Stephan of Duluth, Breanna, Brittany, Gracie and Gabrielle Peterson of Lakeville.



Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Robert H. Albing officiating. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Saturday from 10-11 a.m.

Active pallbearers will be Scott and Brad Peterson, Tom and Dale Deters, Larry Pederson and Daniel Lowry.
