Dale M. Anderson

October 30, 1942 — November 6, 2025

Welch

Dale Myron Anderson, age 83 of Welch, died at his home on Thursday evening, November 6, 2025.

Dale was born with his twin sister on October 30, 1942 in Red Wing, the children of Fredolph and Hilda (Miller) Anderson. He graduated from Red Wing High School in 1960 and served for a time with the Minnesota Army National Guard during Vietnam. He returned to farm his entire life on the family farm in Vasa as the third generation member of his family. He trained many border collies over the years to assist with the dairy herd.

Dale married Jeannette Nerison on November 27, 1964 at Minneola Lutheran Church, near Goodhue. He was a lifelong member of Vasa Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and church cemetery board. He had also been involved with 4-H and FFA. Through FFA he had received the American Farmer Degree in 1963. The Anderson Family was awarded Goodhue County Farm Family in 1990. He was also chairman for a number of years for the Goodhue County Dairy Association. They were also foster parents opening their home to eight children over a ten year time span.

Although farming was his life and passion, he enjoyed his time away with family at their cabin at Lake Tetonka in Waterville. He enjoyed water skiing, jet skiing, and snowmobiling. He always looked forward to attending his grandchildren's varied sports, music and theatre events.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Jeannette; sons, Brad and wife, Jessica of Welch and Todd and wife, Lori Rae of Welch; twin sister, Doris Munsen of Red Wing; 7 grandchildren, Mitch (Meagan), Bryan (Carly), Krystin (Cooper), Olivia, Isaac, Adelaide, and Eli; and 5 great-grandchildren, Ames, Parker, Ashton, Weston, and Hazel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Munsen.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 1:30 pm, with visitation from Noon-1:30 pm, at Vasa Lutheran Church. This service will be livestreamed and available to view at www.LundbergFuneral.com under his obituary. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
