Dane Jared Lindahl, age 38, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023.
Dane was born in Northfield, MN, on May 7th, 1985 to proud parents Jeff & Janet Lindahl. In his 20s he spent time traveling and lived in Washington and Colorado for a while before settling back in Minnesota to raise his son Brighten.
Dane was smart, caring, and passionate about so many things. He loved music, frisbee golf, growing plants, hanging out with friends, learning new things and sharing that knowledge, but most of all he loved his son with all his heart. Brighten was Dane’s world. They spent so much time doing fun stuff together. They really enjoyed hitting baseballs, playing catch, riding bikes, camping, going to waterparks, and so much more.
When Dane was a kid, he was always inventing new things and building those creations with anything he could find around the house. He never lost his passion for inventing. He and Brighten spent time together dreaming up projects and bringing them to life. Sometimes those projects worked out and sometimes they didn’t, but they loved every minute of doing it together.
Dane is survived by his son Brighten; parents Jeff & Janet; sister Renae & brother-in-law Brian; nephew Jasper; one of Dane's best friends and Brighten's mom Ashley; brother-from-another-mother Cullen & sister-in-law, Courteney; niece Kaliya; nephew Jamari; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who he considered his family.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Frank and Ardis Lindahl, Gayle and Norm Prinzing, and Everette Elrod.
Dane loved his family and friends. He had a huge heart and helped a lot of people through their ups and downs in life. His beautiful smile and infectious laughter will be missed by many.
Peace Out Dude. 'Til we meet again.
In a minute. A Dane minute :)
