David Walrod

David M. Walrod, age 52, of Cannon Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 6, 2017, following a long illness. David Michael Walrod was born on August 3, 1964, in Onamia, the son of Rev. Robert and Gwen (Uleberg) Walrod. He grew up and went to school in Litchfield. David had various jobs over his working life in the automotive industry. He was well known as an auto parts specialist. On January 30, 1987, David was united in marriage to Taree Anderson at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St. Paul. They moved to Cannon Falls later that same year and have lived there since then. David was a fisherman, enjoyed shooting sports, and loved playing with his grandkids and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Taree, children Mandy (Josh) Fox, Brittany (Beau) Lundell, Andrew Walrod; mother Gwen Walrod; sister Kathy (Jim) Lindberg; brother Robert (Janis) Walrod; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Robert Walrod, his sister Angela Brama, his brother Greg Walrod, and grandson Ryder David Fox. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Spring Garden Lutheran Church in Leon Township. Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 4-8:00 pm, at the Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Pallbearers will be Robert Walrod Jr., Jake Walrod, John Walrod, James Lindberg, Robert Walrod Sr., and Richard Brama. Honorary Pallbearers are Makenzi Fox, Addison Fox, Arianna Lundell, Olivia Lundell, Caiden Walrod, and Carson Walrod.
