Deborah Johnson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Jean (Kaput) Johnson, who peacefully passed away on Friday July 10th, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 66 years old.

Born on November 23, 1959 in Elgin, Illinois, Deb lived a life filled with love, strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She touched countless lives with her warm heart, generous spirit, and ability to make everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.

Above all else, she cherished her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend whose love and guidance will remain with those who knew her. She found joy in fishing, camping, diamond painting, and Yahtzee. Along with being around her friends and grandkids. Her laughter, wisdom, and compassion will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children Hope Benson (Jason), Ricky Johnson, Nichole (Saroj) Koirala, and Sky Johnson (Matt). Her sisters Donna, Linda, Tina, and brother Paul. And nine grandchildren Cameron, Delta, Zoe, Mya, Aiden, Ethan, Oliver, Owen, and Levi. She was preceded in death by her father Bruno; mother Dorothy; bothers Eugene, Dale, Bruno, Danny, and Mitchell; and daughter in law Sam Johnson.

Though cancer challenged her, it never defined her. Her courage, resilience, and grace throughout her journey inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love, gentle heart, and the countless beautiful memories she leaves behind. Though she is no longer with us, her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
