Deborah Leona “Debbie” Schuette, age 65, formerly of Goodhue, died on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Augustana Care Health & Rehabilitation in Apple Valley, following a lengthy illness.

Debbie was born on October 19, 1955 in Northfield, MN. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1974. She married Robert Tuve on June 2, 2000.

Debbie was loyal and loved her friends and family. Most of her friends were family to her. She enjoyed her good times with nieces and nephews. Most recently Debbie enjoyed learning how to do woodworking with her sister, LuAnn. She also picked up crocheting, enjoyed playing some Nintendo (Mario mainly), loved a good game of cribbage, and fishing.

Debbie loved her job at Lutheran Social Services and decided to further her education to be able to help as many individuals as possible. She was close to gaining her bachelor's degree in social work before she became ill. Debbie had the ability to light up a room she entered, mostly because she would say or do something that could make anyone laugh. Debbie will be greatly missed by anyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne and Jean Schuette; her husband, Robert “Bob” Tuve on January 15, 2017; and her grandparents, aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her siblings, Gordon (Kathy) of Farmington, Kent (Gerri) of St. Paul, Vernon of Zumbrota, Bonnie (Kevin) Gillispie and LuAnn Franklin, all of Cannon Falls; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; three Goddaughters, Sara Franklin, Gina Schuette, and Missy Swart; and many friends, including special friend, Teri Ziemer.

For everyone’s safety and health, masking and social distancing are required. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12 from 1-2 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Stanton Cemetery.
