Dolores Ozment

Dolores Elaine Ozment, age 94 of Lakeville and formerly of Farmington and Rosemount, died peacefully on Wednesday evening, March 28, 2007 at 2 Caring Hands, Inc. in Lakeville.



Dolores was born in Pleasant Grove Township in 1912, the daughter of Merton F. and Emma (Wallace) Bell. She grew up in Pleasant Grove, and later married Clyde L. Ozment on June 20, 1931. Following their marriage, they lived in Rochester and were active in the First Baptist Church in Rochester. They moved to Rosemount in 1942. They founded and were longtime active members of the First Baptist Church of Rosemount. For many years, she was also a leader in the Dakota County homemaker's group.



She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Clyde of Farmington; sons, Dick (Marilyn Seehusen) Ozment of Farmington and Dennis (Gayle) Ozment of Rosemount; ten grandchildren, Greg, Mike, Brock, Grant, Vickie, Jim, Crystal, Kerry, Wendy and Dennis; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Norman (Mary) Bell of St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene Ozment; daughter, Barbara MacCallum; five sisters and five brothers.



Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Curt Batschelet officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove, MN.

Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Mike, Brock and Grant Ozment, Crystal Clark, Wendy and Brian Eckre.
