Donna Jean Kimmes

Donna J. Kimmes, age 96, of Red Wing and Cannon Falls, dies Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Benedictine Living Community in Red Wing.

Donna was born on April 22, 1929 in Faribault, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Chapman Stageberg. She graduated from Zumbrota High School with the class of 1948. Following her graduation, Donna worked as a telephone operator in Zumbrota and later moved to Cannon Falls. Donna also worked at Windy Acres. Kid Duds, and Triangle Auto.

On July 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to Leo Kimmes. They made their home in Cannon Falls. Donna was a long-time member of First English Lutheran Church. She was active in various church circles at First English.

Survivors include JC. Kimmes, Ruth (Mark) Revland; grandsons Justin (Jamie) Revland, Jason, Joshua, and Jesse Revland, and Elisha Kimmes; great-grandkids Makayla, Kiarra, Domnick, Devin, and Mitchel. Great-great-grandkids Revland, ; great-grandkids Raelynn, Kayce, and Callan, brother Douglas Stageberg, brother-in-law Tom Folsom, and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo daughter Georgann, son Paul, great-grandchild Karter Revland. and siblings Randi Folsom, Niles (Marcy) Stageberg, Sharon Stageberg, and Janet (Kenneth) Otte.

Family service will be at a later date, and will be just with family.
