Dorothea Schulz

Dorothea Gray Schulz, age 95, of Cannon Falls, died Thursday afternoon November 8, 2007 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.



Dorothea was born on September 27, 1912, the daughter of Thomas and Ann (Gray) Morgan in Saint Paul. She attended Red Wing High School and worked at the Ben Franklin in Red Wing. Dorothea married Arnold J. Schulz on June 7, 1933 at Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing. They lived in Red Wing and Minneapolis until moving to Cannon Falls in 1948. They owned and operated the Corner Caf?? from 1948 to 1970 when they started Adore Fabrics in Cannon Falls, which they owned and operated for 10 years. After they retired they lived in Weslaco, Texas for a few years, Sun City, Arizona for 16 years and Anaheim, California for 4 years before moving back to Minnesota. Dorothea was a member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church. She was a 55 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star holding many offices and was also a District Instructor and Representative to 4 other states.



Dorothea is survived by her four children Jean (George) Thatcher of Hernando, FL, Glenn (Louise) of Cannon Falls, Janet (Wallace) Fox of Anaheim, CA and Carol Lee (Roger) Johnson of Hernando, FL; 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arnold on August 13, 2002 and a grandson Thomas Schwisow.



Memorial Service will be 10:30am Saturday November 17, 2007 at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls with Pastor Gary Schulz officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 pm with a 7 pm Eastern Star Memorial Service at the Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls.



A private family inurnment will be held at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.



Memorials preferred to Angels Care Center Chapel Fund, St. Ansgar's Building Fund, Shepherd's Center or donors choice.
