Earl Ziemer

Earl Roger Ziemer, age 55 of Welch, died suddenly on Monday morning, August 13, 2007 at the Cannon Falls Medical Center.



Earl was born on August 11, 1952 in St. Peter, MN, the son of DeWayne and Dorothy Ziemer. He attended school in Cannon Falls. Earl enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, his dogs, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his horses. Earl currently worked for Norlake Incorporated in Hudson, WI and he also ran his own business, EZ Pump and Well Service. He was a member of Vasa Lutheran Church. He married Peggy Clemens on January 12, 1980. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed.



He was preceded in death by his parents, DeWayne and Dorothy Ziemer; sister, Sally Ziemer; and his grandparents.



He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Peggy; one daughter, Roxanne (Michael) Rosner of Welch; two sons, Roger Ziemer of Red Wing and James Ziemer of Goodhue; two granddaughters, Sydney Ziemer and Lily Rosner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Irene Clemens of Welch; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.



Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 17 at 11 a.m. at the Vasa Lutheran Church, with Pastor Michael Dobbins officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m.

Active pallbearers will be Joseph Montey, Cory and Shane Clemens, Dustin, Jeremiah and Ernie Ziemer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Deden and Justin Montey.
