Elaine was born on April 19, 1948, the daughter of Olga (Berg) and Ember Ohnstad in Red Wing, Minnesota. She attended school in Cannon Falls and graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 1966. Elaine had been employed by Super America, Division of Ashland Oil, Inc, of Lexington, Kentucky for 26 years. Some of Elaine's proudest moments were being the top fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis Society's Walk-a-thon for two years, in 1989 generating donations of $7000 and in 1991 $11,000. She was a member of Urland Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls.

Elaine is lovingly survived by her husband, Andy of Bloomington, MN.
