Gerald Hofmann

Gerald Norbert "Gerry" Hofmann, age 89 of Cannon Falls, died on Wednesday morning, November 20, 2013 at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls. Gerry was born on July 16, 1924 in Albany, MN, the son of Norbert and Rose (Jesh) Hofmann. He married Ardis Hougo on April 12, 1950. He is survived by his three sons, James, Thomas, and Paul and their families; sisters, Florence Kotula and Eileen Achman; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Ardis; and brother, John "Jack." Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier, with Father Stan Mader celebrating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Active casketbearers will be Jim, Tom, Paul and Walker Hofmann, Greta Schmitt, Mike and Roger Hougo. Honorary casketbearers will be his sisters, Florence Kotula and Eileen Achman.
