Hannah I. Callister

Hannelore Inger "Hannah" Callister, age 80 of Cannon Falls, died at home on Saturday, May 24, 2025 with family by her side.

Hannah was born in Mainz, Germany on December 16, 1944, the daughter of Wilhelm and Margaret (Messerschmidt) Nagler. She graduated from high school in Germany.

She married William "Bill" Callister on June 14, 2014, and they were members of Christ United Methodist Church, Cannon Falls.

She was a cook at Country Kitchen, Cannon Falls for 32 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed making blankets for the Shriners and prayer shawls at church.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Rickey (Barbie) Braatz of Birchwood, WI, Rodney (Stacy) Braatz of Randolph, and Renata Braatz of Menomonie, WI; 7 grandchildren, Hope (Chris) Tanko, Derick (Taylor) Braatz, Kiley Braatz, Bailey (Makenna) Braatz, Brady Braatz, Owen Braatz, and Taron Schaeffer; 4 great-grandchildren, Lillyana, Logan, Emory and Hendrick, and one on the way; and brothers, Norbert (Petra) Nagler and Willie Nagler, both of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Ronald Braatz; sisters, Renate (Robert) Hermann and Monica Klein; and other family members.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29 from 5-8 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. A funeral service will be on Friday, May 30 at 11 am, with visitation from 10-11 am, at Christ United Methodist Church, 29470 Gaylord Ave., Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Randolph. This service will be live-streamed and available to watch below.

Active casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary casket bearers will be her great-grandchildren.
