Helene Porter

Helene M. Porter, age 92, of Cannon Falls, died on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the Terrace of Cannon Falls.

Helene was born on December 25, 1929, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Lee and Ida (Keningsberg) Mintz. She grew up and graduated from South Shore High School in Chicago. Helene worked in the accounting field.

Survivors include her daughter Denise (Bruce) Showel; grandchildren Philip (Maia) Showel and Rachel Midtovne; great-grandchildren Liam, Brynn, and Mischa Midtovne; sister Phyllis Dunaetz; sister-in-law Yochev Mintz; nephews Forrest Dunaetz, Neil Dunaetz, Ari Mintz, Steve Mintz and Jon Mintz; and niece Lori DeSena. Helene was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Alan Mintz, and her nephew Jeff Mintz.

Private interment was held at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
