John A. Miller, age 91, of Cannon Falls, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

John Arden Miller was born on May 12, 1930 in Cannon Falls, the son of Jennings and Esther (Larson) Miller. He attended country school and then went to work on the family farm, raising beef cattle, crops and dairy cattle. He was proud to be a third-generation farmer on Oak Lawn Farm, a Minnesota Century farm.

On December 9, 1961, John was married to Elaine Koosmann in Appleton, MN. John was a life-long member of Spring Garden Lutheran Church.

In addition to farming, John served his community as a Supervisor on the Leon Township Board for 32 years, and on the Stanton Township Board for six years. He was an avid bowler winning many trophies for his Dew Drop Inn, Lundell Mobil and Hernke’s Inc. teams.  But his greatest joy was his twin sons and triplet daughters.

Survivors include his children David Miller of Wheatland, WY, Dallas (Lisa) Miller of Cannon Falls, Lisa Ayers of Libertyville, IL, Marsha Bopp of Bismarck, ND, and Renae (Stephen) Engel of Wauwatosa, WI; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Grace Nelson, Irene Berg, Lois (Meryl) Watson, and Elaine Myers; in-laws Nancy Koosmann, Henry (June) Koosmann and Walter (Phyllis) Koosman; as well as many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elaine, son-in-law Doug Ayers, brother William Miller, and sisters Frances Callstrom, Shirley Berg and Mary Urevig; as well a sister-in-law and several brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm with a Memorial service at 5:00 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN 55009.

Private interment will be at the Spring Garden Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Spring Garden Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls, MN.
