Kevin Dale Richards, age 52 of Edina, MN, died on Thursday evening, September 24, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Kevin was born on March 2, 1968 at a military hospital in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Gordon and Barbara (Cullen) Richards.

He was a chef in the food industry for most of his working career. He will be remembered most for his fun-loving, outgoing personality. He loved pulling practical jokes and had a silly sense of humor. He enjoyed going to movies and casinos. He was loved by his family, his pets, and many friends. His mom will miss their everyday phone calls.

He is survived by his parents, Gordon and Barbara Richards of Cannon Falls; sister, Christy (Wade) Whipple of Dennison; nieces, Katie (Philip) White, Dawn Whipple, and Jill Whipple; grand nephews and nieces, Sean Whipple, Madalyn Banks, Delilah Fredrickson, and Oliver White; his partner, Arnold Leas of Brooklyn Center; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2 at 9:30 am at the Oaklawn Cemetery, 1415 Wall Street Rd, Northfield, MN 55057. Masks are required and please respect social distancing. Also, bring a lawn chair and umbrella, if weather is inclement.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Kevin’s name to the Humane Society.
