Kristine Kay Navara, age 49 of Faribault, died on Wednesday evening, March 5, 2014 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Kris was born on November 23, 1964 in Northfield, the youngest child to Raymond and Darleen (Kruse) Navara. She graduated from Randolph High School where she participated in band and cheerleading. She held a variety of jobs and made friends wherever she went. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond and brother-in-law, Ronnie Dale. She is survived by her children, Kayla and Kristian Swedberg of Brooklyn Park; her mother, Darleen of Randolph; her life partner, Jim Gearty of Faribault; her siblings, Raylene (Sheldon) Streed of Woodbury, Kevin (Laurene) of Cannon Falls, Kerry (Martha) of Woodbury, Jacquelyn (Scott) Kroll of Randolph and Melanie (Eugene) Hogan of Eureka, WI; and many close nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12-1 p.m., at St. Pius V Catholic Church, (410 W. Colvill St.) in Cannon Falls. Memorials are preferred to the family in Kris' memory.
