Larry Robertson

Larry Robertson, 79 Heaven welcomed home its latest angel on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Larry was born on Dec. 18, 1936 to William and Myrtle (Nelson) in Oakland, Nebraska. Being of diminished sight since he was 8 years old after a fall from a corn crib, he grew to a full 6 foot, four inches tall. He attended Rice Lake county School and graduated from Braille and Sight Saving School in Fairbault, MN. He graduated from the College of Medical Technology of March 28, 1958. He built his own vending machine business. In the after-hours, he took great pride in his home and cherished time spent with his collector car. Then scoliosis took its toll on him and he became a resident at Red Wing Health Care for the last four and a half years. He will be sadly missed by his friends, LeRoy, Liz, Judy, and Mary, who are also residents at Red Wing Care Center. He leaves behind his two brothers, Merle (Marguerite), Daryl (Karen) and his one sister Sedsel (David) Tapp; his treasured 9 nieces and nephew, and 4 grand nieces and nephews! Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Karen. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Lundberg Funeral Home (5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls) from 4-7pm. Private interment at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
