Loren Gene Ringeisen, age 79 of Cannon Falls, died on Monday morning, October 15, 2012 at The View in Cannon Falls. Loren was born at home in Mankato, MN on August 1, 1933 to Fred and Emma (Dunker) Ringeisen.  He attended school in Rapidan, MN and Randolph Public School, graduating from Randolph High School in May 1951 in a class of 21.  He married Arlene Ann Felton on May 9, 1953 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Randolph, where Loren was confirmed and continued his membership and church work throughout his life.  To the union, four children were born; Laurene Ann, Diane Lynn, Jeffrey Lee, and Patti Jean.  Loren worked at Armours in So. St. Paul for over 26 years, then went in to raising pigs, and later worked at Grist Mill in Lakeville until retiring in 1995.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arlene; children, Laurene (Kevin) Navara, Diane (Wayne) Trapp, Jeffrey (Wendy) Ringeisen, all of Cannon Falls, and Patti (David) McKinley of Randolph; 10 grandchildren, Becki (Scott) Banitt, Cari (Brent) Lundell, Brandon (Marie) Navara, Joshua and Jeremy (Lisa) Trapp, Preston and Wesley (Jessica) Ringeisen, Riki (Ryan) Podritz, Tiffany Ringeisen, and Jason (Irvin) McKinley; 13 great-grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Tayler, Maddox, Mia, Holden, Abigail, Grace, Madeline, Ryan, Khloe, Olivia, and Sophia; brother, Darvin (Donna) Ringeisen of Hastings; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arnold Felton of Cannon Falls, Yvonne Montgomery of Bayport, and Audrey (David) McKeag of Dennison; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Alvin (Josephine) Ringeisen.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Randolph, with Pastor Steven Schwartz officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Randolph.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.  There will also be visitation at church on Saturday from 1-2 p.m. Active pallbearers will be his grandchildren.  Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren, and Ferd and June Volkert. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mark's Lutheran Church and The View.
