Louise V. Lindell, age 57 of Vasa, died peacefully Saturday September 27, 2008 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Louise was born December 1, 1950 the daughter of Jerome and Marie (Otto) Lorentz in Red Wing, MN. She attended school in Cannon Falls, MN and was a 1969 graduate of Cannon Falls High School. Upon graduation she worked a short time with Kid Duds Manufacturing. Louise married Al Lindell on May 23, 1970 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Cannon Falls, MN. She was devoted to home daycare for over 20 years before working 8 years for Lorentz Meats of Cannon Falls and was most recently working in Nutrition Services for Fairview Medical Center in Red Wing. Louise was an active member of Vasa Lutheran Church, having served on the church council and was active with Miriam Girls and WELCA. She was proud of her family and loved to spend time with them and enjoyed cooking meals for them. Her passions included flower gardening, needlepoint and entertaining.
Louise is lovingly survived by her husband Al; children Scott (Lori) Lindell of Hutchinson, MN, Sandy (Dennis) Doehling of Kenyon, MN, Bonnie (Jason) Pagel of Red Wing, MN, Joanne (Dave) Weber of Cannon Falls, MN and Barbara (Chris) Weigman of Cannon Falls, MN; her 8 grandchildren Brittany, Tanner, Brittney and Thomas Lindell, Katie, Claire and Carrie Doehling and Preston Pagel. Also by her sisters and brothers Jack (Debbie) Lorentz of Cannon Falls, MN, Marie (Phil) Malenfant of North Pole, AK, Jerry (Carol) Lorentz of Woodville, WI, Janet (Steve) Peine of Hastings, MN and Don Lorentz of Cannon Falls, MN. Also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff and Keith Lorentz, Tom Peine, Brian Johnson, Heidi Steuber, and Wendy Luidahl. Honorary pallbearers will be her remaining nieces and nephews.
