Lucille Pearson

Lucille L. Pearson, age 90 of Red Wing, died at her home at Deer Crest Assisted Living in Red Wing on Monday evening, April 6, 2020.

Lucille was born the only child of Rudolph and Alice (Magnuson) Pearson on August 26, 1929 in Red Wing, MN. She attended country school until 8th grade and farmed and cared for her mother near Cannon Falls throughout her life.

She took voice lessons, loved to sing and play the piano. She adored her dog’s Lassie and Patsy. She always had several cats around the farm. Lucille and her mother loved to bake and entertain guests on the farm.

You would often hear her saying, “Many thousands Thanks”, “Thank You, Thank You, Thank you!”, and “Have another cup of coffee.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Ludwig and Christina (Johnson) Magnuson; and paternal grandparents, Andrew and Alice (Miller) Pearson. She is survived by several cousins in the area.

A private family service will be held at Spring Garden Lutheran Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

A celebration of Lucille’s life will be held at a later date.
