Marion Johnson

Marion Gladys Viola Johnson, age 93, a lifelong resident of Cannon Falls, died on Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016 at The Gardens at Cannon Falls. Marion was born on March 23, 1923 in Cannon Falls Township, the daughter of J. Albert and Anna (Lind) Johnson. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1941. She married Roy L. Johnson on May 12, 1944 at St. Ansgar's parsonage, and continued her active membership at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; stillborn son, Darvin; husband, Roy on March 17, 1995; daughter, Diane in April, 2015; brothers, Floyd and Clifford; sister, Goldie Freidel and an infant stillborn sister. She is survived by her son, Shawn (Marie) of Fredericksburg, VA; three grandchildren, Hayden, Madeline, and Carver Johnson; brothers, Allen of Minneapolis, Kenneth of Houston, MN, and Ralph (Corliss) of Columbia Heights; sister, Colleen (Joyce) Fredrickson of Wanamingo; and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
