Michael F. Grossman

Michael Grossman, age 83, of Cannon Falls, MN and Fredericksburg, Tx, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes July 26th, 2025.

Father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, born October 23, 1941 in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by parents Harold and Mary Grossman and brother Bob Grossman. He spent his early years living in both Edina and Farmington. Michael graduated from Washburn High School, attended Carleton College and graduated from University of Minnesota. He played basketball, football, racquetball, golf, HAM radio, and loved fishing and the outdoors.

He married Karin Johnson in 1961 and married Pam Wright in 2019. He is survived by sister Ginny Grossman, and his five children Wally (Renae), Beth (Kurt), Kari (Eric), Jay (fiancé Caitlin), and Jeff (Liz). Grandchildren Amy (Wally), Molly, Max, Sydney, Emily (Beau), and Caden, and great-grandson Wilson.

He began working for the family business, Grossman Chevrolet, in the parts department before taking over as the 3rd generation Owner/President of the company. After retirement from the automobile dealership industry, he became very active in Thoroughbred racing throughout the country.

Memorials preferred to The Good Samaritan Center, 140 Industrial Loop, Suite 100, Fredericksburg, TX 78624; and St. Jude Hospitals.

A Memorial gathering will be held at Lundberg Funeral Home, 507-263-4246, 5839 Hwy. 19 Blvd., Cannon Falls, MN 55009, on August 5th, 2025 from 3:00-6:00pm.
