Mitchell C. Lindholm

Mitchell Craig Lindholm, age 42 of Goodhue, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2026. 

Mitch was born on January 13, 1984 in Red Wing, the son of Randy and Geri (Tholkes) Lindholm. He graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 2002. After high school, Mitch got his CDL and was a self-employed truck driver, hauling grain for Dave Ryan and Kevin Eckblad. He later drove for Eilen & Sons Trucking where he made lifelong friendships. For the past 16 years, he worked for NPL Construction, working his way up to foreman. He was a proud owner of the car wash where he worked endless hours with his son.

Mitch and Jessica are proud parents of Carter, Mallory, Bianca, and Chloe, all at home. A devoted father, he would do anything for his children and loved spending time doing whatever his kids were doing! He taught them valuable life skills throughout. Family and church were very important to him. He was active at St. Luke Lutheran Church, serving as church president and attending bible studies.

He enjoyed skiing and teaching others to ski, and considered Welch Village his home mountain. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and auto racing. A handy man, he was good at building, making, and fixing things . Mitch had a unique sense of humor, and when he was around you, he wanted you to be part of the fun and feel included! No one was safe from a joke on April fool’s day. He will be forever missed by his family and friends.

Along with his children, he is also survived by his parents, Randy and Geri Lindholm of Vasa; siblings, Jill Lindholm of Darlington, WI, Jon (Kyley) Lindholm of Red Wing and Nate (Kelsey) Lindholm of Welch; parents-in-law, Jeff and Sue Samuelson; brother-in-law, Justin (Kelli) Samuelson of Roberts, WI; grandmother-in-law, Jerrie Samuelson; and grandfather-in-law, Richard Wolter. He was an adored uncle to many nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and great-grandparents.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 37750 Co 6 Blvd, Goodhue. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 4 at 1:00 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Honorary urn bearers will be Jill, Jon, and Nate Lindholm, and Justin Samuelson. A private interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Gifts in Mitch's memory may be given to St. Luke Church, and an account has been established at First Farmers & Merchants in Goodhue for the benefit of Mitch's children. Make checks payable to the Family of Mitch Lindholm.
