Ona Sheets

Ona M. Sheets (nee Meyer) Age 67 Of Cannon Falls, MN Passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Reflections of Northfield. She was born in Northfield, MN to her parents Herman and Dorothy Meyer. She grew up in Webster, MN and graduated from high school in New Prague. She married her husband, Gary Sheets, on May 4, 1968. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family. She adored working with the kids of Prairie Creek Community School. She was extremely dedicated to Wangen Prairie Church, helping with whatever tasks she could. Ona is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Gary; and her parents, Herman and Dorothy Meyer. She is survived by her sons, Scott (Michele Meine) Sheets and Ken (Tammy) Sheets; four grandchildren, Abbie (Ben) and Blaine Sheets, Amber and Mat Titel; siblings, Edi Nelson, Nora Rud, Madalyn Petersen, Arlo Meyer; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 7 from 1-5 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home (5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8 at 11 am at Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church (34289 Co 24 Blvd, Cannon Falls) with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church.
