Reid Anderson

June 12, 1953 — December 11, 2008

Reid Jeffery Anderson, age 55, a lifelong resident of Cannon Falls, died unexpectedly and peacefully on Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2008 at the United Hospital in St. Paul.

Reid was born on June 12, 1953 in Red Wing, the son of Edgar J. and Luella M. (Roisum) Anderson. He graduated from the Cannon Falls High School in 1971, and went on to serve with the U.S. Army from 1971-1977.

He married Judy Anderson on September 9, 1978, and they were married for 26 years.

Reid was employed for 30 years with A & H Cartage, where he was a driver, mechanic, and could fix anything that needed it!

He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, feeding the birds and squirrels. He loved to help people, and enjoyed spending time with his many friends from work and in the neighborhood.

Reid was a member of the Masonic Oriental Lodge #34 in Cannon Falls.

He is survived by his children, Jessica Anderson (fiancé, Doyle Lewis) of Minneapolis, and Joshua Anderson of Burnsville; sisters and brothers, Sallee Larson of Red Wing, Lowell (Sharon) Anderson and James Anderson, all of Cannon Falls, and Ruth (Randy) Fox of Cambridge, MN; nieces and nephews, Sara Larson, Greta (Doug) Bartels, Anna (Doug) Amy, Lori (Brian) Otto, Jeff (Nina) Anderson, Alice Fox and Brian (Brandi) Fox; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Johnson and Dianne Llenaresas; and his aunt and godmother, Dee Anderson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14 from 2-5 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will be a Masonic Service at 5 p.m.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
