Richard L. Banidt, 59, was a lifelong resident of Goodhue, MN. He was born in Zumbrota on October 26, 1960 to Lester and Jeanne (Nei) Banidt. He graduated Goodhue High School class of 1979 and currently worked at AG Partners in Goodhue.

Known as a car enthusiast, truck puller, mechanic, hunter, and great friend, Dick was also an active volunteer for the Goodhue Fire Department for the past 39 years. His smile, smart wit and kind heart were loved by so many. Dick passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 in Northfield after a tragic traffic accident.

Dick is survived by sister MaryAnn Banidt-Sitta (brother-in-law Jim Perry), nephews Steven Sitta Jr. (wife Michelle, their children Brayden and Kailyn) and Matthew Perry (wife Devin), many other relatives and lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his father Lester, and his mother Jeanne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials honoring Dick may be sent to Goodhue Fire Department at 110 3rd St S, Goodhue, MN 55027. A private service will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Mazeppa. A celebration of Dick's life will take place at a future time.
