Robert F. Lee

Robert Franklin Lee, age 81 of Hastings and formerly of rural Goodhue, died at his home on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Robert "Bob" was born on June 14, 1945 in Red Wing, the son of Joseph and Florence (Vanberg) Lee. He went to Wastedo School and then Cannon Falls High School. He farmed with his dad, and later his brother, most all of his life on the family farm where he grew up.

Bob served during the Korean Conflict with the US Army, until his honorable discharge in 1967. It was in Korea that he met his future wife. He married Chong Nam on July 19, 1967.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allan. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Chong.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, August 17 from 3-5 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Interment with military honors will follow at 5:15 pm at Spring Garden Lutheran Cemetery.
