Robert Mack "Bob" LeMon, age 70 of Cannon Falls, died on Tuesday morning, Janaury 22, 2008 at his home, following a brief illness.
Bob was born on May 3, 1937 in Rochester, the son of James and Genevieve (Simmers) LeMon. He grew up in Rochester, and attended Central High School.
He worked as a truck driver in commercial transportation for most of his career. He was also an indoor/outdoor painter, handy man and laborer. Bob was always helping other people!
Bob married Shirley (Clausen) Phillips at the Vasa Lutheran Church on October 19, 1980. He has lived in and around the Cannon Falls area for the past 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Robin Miller Kroening (Patrick) of St. Charles, Kimberly Halvorson of Red Wing, Brenda (Keith) Schauer of Cannon Falls, Brian LeMon and Anthony (Ulita) LeMon, all of Rochester, Tammi (Jerry) Rushford of Apple Valley, and Sheri (Todd) Majerus of Bellechester; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Lemmons of Pascagoula, MS and Larry (Lila) Lemmons of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Diane Pervin of Lake City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and Garmen; and three sisters, Isabell, Ethel "Marie" and LaVonne.
A memorial gathering for friends and family of Bob will be held on Thursday, January 24 from 4-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
