Roberta Flom

Roberta "Bobbie" LaRue Flom, age 90, of Cannon Falls passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 28, 2011 at Twin Rivers Senior Campus. Roberta was born in Harlow, ND on July 21, 1921, the daughter of Carl and LaRue (Rudolph) Larson. She moved to Cannon Falls with her family in 1928. Bobbie married Eugene Flom on July 22, 1944 at Urland Lutheran Church; together they raised three children. Bobbie owned and operated Roberta's Beauty Shop in Cannon Falls for many years. She was a longtime member of First English Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting blankets and reading. She loved taking her daily walks. For the last 30 years Bobbie headed south for the winter, enjoying her time at Lake Havasu in Arizona. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Kay (Allen) Erickson, Dennis (Marcia) Flom and Byron (Sheryl) Flom; grandchildren, Jill (Tom) McCartney, Jeff (Monica) Erickson, Jennifer (Aaron) Vaudt, Janine (Rob) Wegner, David (Nancy) Flom, Sara (Erik) Jacobsen, Tony (Amy) Flom, Samantha (Josh) Robinson, and Alex Flom; 12 greatgrandchildren; sisters, Madelyne Kassabamn and Yvonne Splady. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Eugene and sister, Audry Larson.
