Rodney Tutewohl

Rodney "Rudy" G. Tutewohl, age 47 died unexpectedly on Friday August 25, 2006. Rudy was born the second child of seven children to Roger G. and Lora M. (Skluzacek) Tutewohl on December 11, 1958 in Farmington, MN. He attended school at Red Wing High School and received a two year Associate's Degree in Auto Mechanics from the Red Wing Vo-Tech. Rudy lived most of his life in the Red Wing and Goodhue areas. He was a self-employed semi-driver for twenty five years, driving for Redi-Mix and Poncelet's Metal. Rudy married Deborah Ward on August 5, 2000 in Goodhue, MN. He was an avid collector of classic cars. Rudy was a pool shark extaordinaire and was an excellent dancer. He had a knack for remembering jokes and could tell them one after the other. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his ever ready smile, laugh and for being a great prankster. Rudy is lovingly survived by his wife Deb; two daughters, Joey Ann & Angie Rae; two step-sons Jeff (Autumn) Wiskow & Tony Zimmerman; his parents Roger & Lora Tutewohl of Cannon Falls, MN; his six siblings Randy (Deb) Tutewohl of Goodhue, MN, Mary (Richard) Updike of Rice Lake, WI, Russell (Karlene) Tutewohl of Byron, MN, Rick Tutewohl of Goodhue, MN, Eileen Dietrich (Steve Dickman) of Eagan, MN and Lynn (Dale) Struzan of Rice Lake, WI; grandfather Tom Skluzacek of Northfield, MN; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents George and Angeline Tutewohl and maternal grandmother Olive Skluzacek. Visitation will be Wednesday August 30, 2006 from 4 to 8 PM with 7:30 PM wake prayers and continue Thursday from 9:30 AM until the 10:30 AM Memorial Mass all at St. Columbkill's Catholic Church in Goodhue. Inurnment in the St. Columbkill's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to donor's choice. Honorary casketbearers will be Rich Mehrkens, Andy Lodermeier, Mike Kehren, Kent Weckerling, Kevin Eckblad, Glen Stumpf, Dan Dettmer and Steve VanDeusen.
