Sally Ann Gibson, age 78 of Zumbrota and formerly of Cottage Grove, died on October 18, 2013 at the Zumbrota Care Center. A private burial will be held at Cannon Falls Cemetery in Cannon Falls. Sally was born on October 28, 1934 in Jackson, MN, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Fredrickson) Ashley. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1952. She was married to Marland A. Gibson in 1955, and they made their home in Cottage Grove. She was employed for over 40 years at the South Washington County School District #833. Marland died February 10, 1991. She is survived by her sons, Dale (Vicki Gesme) of Cannon Falls, Dan (Joanie) of Isle, MN, and Tom of Zumbrota; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Sawyer of Byron, MN and William Ashley of Mankato, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Marland.
