Sylvester F. ?Sonny? VonBargen, age 88 of Cannon Falls died Saturday September 9, 2006 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Sonny was born December 6, 1917 the son of Fredrick and Molly (Nelson) VonBargen in Red Wing, Minnesota. He was a lifelong farmer, farming from 1943 until 1989 in the Vasa Community, and working part time at the Farmer?s Elevator in Cannon Falls after his retirement from farming. Sonny was very active in community organizations; he served on the Vasa Church Council, Vasa School Board, Vasa Town Board and the Belle Creek Creamery Board. He was a former member of Vasa Lutheran Church and current member of St. Ansgar?s Lutheran Church.
