1950 graduate of Johnson High School. Died on October 16, 2006 at his home in Randolph Township. Gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, (507) 263-4246. Private family interment will be held at a later date. He especially enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was very social and had a great sense of humor. Verne is survived by four sisters; Nancy Gramse of St. Paul, Marilyn (Robert) Thurber of New Richmond, WI, Pat (Ron) Thurber of Randolph Township, Diane (Arnold) LaBelle of St. Paul, his uncle, Eugene Jones of St. Paul, many nieces and nephews and his beloved, best friends, his cats.
