Virginia Lundell

Virginia Elaine (Anderson) Lundell, age 82, a lifelong resident of Cannon Falls, died on Friday morning, November 22, 2013. Virginia was born on April 3, 1931 in Red Wing, the daughter of Edwin M. and Emma O. (Freed) Anderson. She married Harlan L. "Bud" Lundell on August 31, 1951 at Spring Garden Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. She was a longtime member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She had worked for years at Kid Dud's, and enjoyed quilting. After retiring, she and her husband enjoyed taking road trips. Throughout their lives, they remained devoted to each other. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harlan "Bud" on September 24, 2011; and brother, Edsel Anderson. She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Susan) of Flemington, NJ, Randall (Susan) of Minneapolis, and Steve (Patricia) of Shoreview; three grandchildren, Rachel (Tony) Koehler, Emily Lundell and Erik Lundell; great grandson, Owen Koehler; sisters-in-law, Hazel Anderson of Cannon Falls, Phyllis (Bob) Ellingson of Battle Lake, and Margaret Lundell of Minneapolis; brother-in-law, Lyle Lundell of Cannon Falls; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, December 2 from 4-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at church on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. Active pallbearers will be Rachel and Tony Koehler, Emily Lundell, Erik Lundell, Jon and Jacqui Rice. Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Twin Cities (2000 Summer St. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413) and St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church.
