Wendy Johnson

Wendy Jean (Paddock) Johnson, age 58 of Sanford, NC and formerly of Cannon Falls, died suddenly on Friday, August 22, 2014. Wendy was born on March 25, 1956 in Northfield, the daughter of Gordon and Lorene Paddock. She was a Home Healthcare Nurse of disabled children and adults for over 20 years. She had a passion for life and helping others. She began a non-profit therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities. She was extremely active in her church and enjoyed mission work, traveling to numerous countries. In 2005 she adopted her son, Richard from an orphanage in Jamaica. She had many joys in life, including traveling, kayaking, running, sewing, gardening, camping, and the outdoors. Her biggest joy in life was her family and her grandbabies. Wendy was a strong believer in the Lord. She was constantly giving to others in so many ways, whether it was through love, finances or her time. She is survived by her husband, Shawn Fritzroy Johnson; two sons, Brian Randall Miller and Richard Antwon Miller; one daughter, Lora Ann Jackson and her husband, Keith; one sister, Nancy Brenny and her husband, Robert; two grandchildren, Brianna Grace and Vanessa Jade Jackson; and one niece, Karen Brenny. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12-1 p.m., at Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church, 34289 Co 24 Blvd, Cannon Falls. Interment at the church cemetery.
