Allan Rajanen

Allan A Rajanen, 71, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2022 in Cannon Falls, MN.

Al graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1969 and attended UWS.  Growing up in a sports-minded family, he had a lifelong devotion to everything baseball, hockey and football.  Al enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame when the Chicago White Sox drafted him in the 34 ^th round of the 1969 MLB draft.  He coached a number of teams throughout his life and above all, he was an expert sports trivia master with an enormous appetite for stats.  He especially loved all Superior, WI teams and his Minnesota favorites, the Gophers, the Twins, the Wild and the Vikings.

Al is survived by his sons Mark Rajanen, Jeff (Sherry) Rajanen and grandson Anders Rajanen, mother Donna Rajanen, and siblings Diana (Joe) Kongevick, Greg (Nancy) Rajanen,  Bob Rajanen, Kim (Charlie) Danula, Julie (Dave) Dahl and many nieces and nephews.  He is pre-deceased by his father, Hugo Rajanen.

Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing, MN on July 18, 2022, at 3:00 pm.  Wear your favorite team jersey or cap!  The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at The Terrace at Cannon Falls for the loving care they provided Al.
