Craig Husbyn, age 72, of Cannon Falls, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Craig Roy Husbyn was born on April 9, 1947 in Northfield, the son of Roy and Gladys (Lien) Husbyn. Craig graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1965. He served his country in the US Army from 1966-1968. On October 2, 1971 Craig was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Flom at Vang Lutheran Church. He worked for Cannon Equipment, Minnesota Malting, and then for Sustane. Craig was a member of the American Legion, the Teamsters Local 792, and Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church. He loved spending time at the cabin in Menahga, hunting and fishing, playing cribbage and other card games, but most of all he loved any activity that involved being with his family.
Survivors include his wife Shirley, daughters Jodi (Matt) Strain, Jennifer (Dani) Lind, and Amy (Jake) Halling; grandchildren Halley and Hayden, Carli, Elle, and Tysen, and Mia and Kayla; siblings Rochelle Malanca, Nolan Husbyn, Blaine (Joan) Husbyn, Gaynelle (Gary) Peters, and Gaylen (Linda) Husbyn; as well as nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Gladys, and his nephew Zachary Malanca.
Memorials may be designated in memory of Craig to the Wangen Prairie Cemetery Association or the Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church.
Visitation for Craig will be on Sunday, March 15 from 4-7:00 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN, 55009. The memorial service will be on Monday, March 16 at 1:00 pm at the Wangen Prairie Lutheran Church, 342189 Co 24 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment with military honors will be in the Wangen Prairie Cemetery.
