Gail Johnson

August 22, 1945 — August 6, 2021

Cannon Falls

Gail Shirley Johnson, age 75 of Cannon Falls and formerly of Minnetonka, died peacefully at her home at Cannon Rivers Senior Living in Cannon Falls on Friday, August 6, 2021.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Donna Stopper, son Brian and many loving cats and dogs (most recently Molly). Gail is survived by her husband DelRoy; aunt Gert Stopper; siblings Sandy (Bernell) Harlan, Dawn (Bob) Miller and Brian (Karolyn) Stopper; children Shannon Arellano, Samantha Schmidt (Jeff), Dawn Ryan, Janelle Johnson, Mark Johnson (Kara); grandchildren Max, Bella, Evan, Mandy (Bart), Tyler (Lauren), Jamie (Frank), Jenna (Jason), Adam, Mal (Charlie), Alex, Greta and Gunnar; and many loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gail was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She loved her jobs in pediatric and dermatology offices and working retail where she couldn’t pass up a good deal. Gail was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago and lost her battle quickly when it metastasized to her liver and bones. She was kind, witty and very stubborn and we are thankful for the time we shared with her and grateful she is no longer in pain. There will not be a service. Please consider donating to American Cancer Society ( cancer.org ) or Hope Chest ( hopechest.com ). “If there ever comes a day that we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there  forever” - Winnie the Pooh
