Judy Diann Robinson, age 79 of Red Wing, died peacefully at her home with family on Monday, May 25, 2020.

Judy was born on June 28, 1940 in Mazeppa to Doreen Jennie (Smith) and Foster Archie Franklin. She grew up and went to school in Rochester. She moved to Goodhue to attend her senior year of school. After school, she attended and graduated from The Robinson School of Beauty Culture. On July 11, 1959, she married Edward G. Robinson at St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls.

She loved floral design and was a master quilter. She worked at Princess Toys and Quilt By The Falls in Cannon Falls. She loved the color red, and she loved to cook and have supper on the table at 6 o’clock for Ed and her 5 boys on the farm. She enjoyed going to the monthly neighborhood card club get-togethers. Most recently, she loved being with her friends at the daily morning coffee club at Eagle Ridge.

Judy is survived by her five sons, Scott of St. Paul, Tim (Utra) of Burnsville, Daniel (Melissa) of Sogn, Steve (Lydiah) of Maple Grove, and Chris (Katie) of Ellsworth, WI; 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren with one more on the way, and 1 great-great grandchild; special nieces, Deb and Jody, and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edward; sister, Jennie Busby; and her parents.

A special thank you to her four sons for their time spent over the last two months caring for her.

No services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
