Richard “Buck” Stock, age 71, of Cannon Falls, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home.
Richard was born on April 9, 1949 in Appleton, MN, the son of Lucille (Grages) and Robert Stock. He grew up there, moving to Cannon Falls while in high school. Richard graduated from Cannon Falls High School. In 1969, Richard joined the U. S. Army where he served as a Military Policeman. He served in Vietnam, Germany (twice), Alaska, and Maryland. He retired from the army in 1991. On March 18, 1977, Richard was united in marriage to Maxine Rehfeld in Coppers Cove, TX. In his retirement he did a little farming. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the VFW. Buck enjoyed outdoor activities such and hunting and fishing, farming, and loved watching westerns on TV. He especially loved spending time with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Maxine; children Brandy (Fran Sanford) Stock, Rick (Melissa Carr) Stock, and Beau (Melissa Neperud) Stock; grandchildren Jennifer Stock, Charlotte Carr, Ella Carr, Mya Neperud, and Logan Stock; great-grandchildren Audrey Peters, Zayne Peters, and Harper Carr; siblings Judy (Ray) Wachter, Ed (Sue) Stock, Patty (Darwin) Ohnstad, Rob (Cindy) Stock, and Chuck (Bonnie) Stock; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at noon, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 30289 59th Ave. Way, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will be a visitation from 11-12 before the service at the church. Masks and social distancing will be required. The funeral service will be livestreamed on Richard’s obituary page at www.lundbergfuneral.com. Condolence messages may also be left there. Interment with a military honors farewell by the Cannon Falls Veteran’s Honor Guard will follow the service at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Lundberg Funeral Home is assisting the family.
